For individuals

Individual therapy intensives

Concentrated one-to-one therapy for adults, delivered across consecutive days in place of the weekly hour. Online worldwide, with selected in-person retreats.

The individual arm is for adults who have usually been in therapy before. Something in it held, and something did not. What remains is often older than the problem that prompted the search, and it tends not to shift easily on a weekly schedule.

An intensive replaces that schedule with a concentrated block of days. History and assessment are taken before the first day, so the work begins at depth rather than at introduction. Integration is structured afterwards rather than left to chance.

The work is delivered by Lucy Orton, drawing on Internal Family Systems and Brainspotting. It is immersive and it goes deep, but it is paced with care. Most people find it more deliberate than intense.

It is not the right instrument for everyone, and that judgement is made at assessment, before anything is booked.

Format, availability and how to begin are set out in full at lucyorton.com, where the individual practice is based.
