For therapists

Therapist training and community

Coaching, training and community for therapists building their own specialist intensive practices. Delivered at The Spacious Practice.

This arm is not clinical provision. It is training, and it is for qualified therapists, coaches and practitioners who already work at depth and want to change how they practise.

Most therapists who come to it are not short of clinical skill. They are running a weekly model that limits both what they can offer and what they can earn, and they have no framework for moving away from it. Building an intensive practice is a different discipline from delivering good therapy, and very little training addresses the difference.

The programme covers the clinical structure of intensive work, the practical business of pricing and positioning, and the parts of the transition that most therapists find hardest to do alone. It is led by Lucy Orton, who built the practice she teaches.

It is not a qualifying route and not an introduction to therapeutic practices. It assumes an established practice and appropriate professional training.

The programme is set out in full at The Spacious Practice.
